Endowments minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, who has been conducting Telangana Padayatra in Mahaboobnagar district for the past two weeks, took a vow on Wednesday that he would never return to the Secretariat in Hyderabad as a minister if the Centre does not announce the Telangana state by this month end.

 

Speaking to media persons in Mahaboobnagar on Wednesday, Krishna Rao also asked other congress leaders of Telangana not to accept any posts like PCC president or Deputy Chief Minister.

 

“These posts will be offered as part of the implementation of the secret agenda of the Justice Sri Krishna Committee but no Telangana congress leader should accept such a post,” he said, adding that political posts are not important now.

 

Like the Seema Andhra leaders who used pressure tactics to prevent the formation of Telangana state, Telangana congress leaders too should mount pressure on the party high command to accept the formation of separate state.

 

If any Telangana leader accepts such a post as Deputy Chief Minister, it would be tantamount to ditching the people of Telangana who are readying for the final battle. “May 31 is the deadline for the Centre to announce Telangana state,” he said.
