In a reversal of roles, Seema Andhra TDP MLAs today took upon themselves the responsibility of obstructing the proceedings of the assembly by raising slogans in favour of united AP and forcing the Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar to adjourn the house for half an hour.

Till two days ago, it was the TRS members and Telangana TDP MLAs who disturbed the assembly proceedings raising slogans in favour of separate state of Telangana. T region congress MLAs too obstructed the business of the house for one or two days with their pro-Telangana slogans.

It may be mentioned that the TRS members, T region congress MLAs and TDP MLAs have decided to boycott the assembly till the end of the budget session as a measure of support to the T employees who have been carrying on their non-cooperation movement for the past two weeks demanding separate state of Telangana.

Today, there were not many members in the assembly as only some congress members, MIM MLAs, CPI members and about some 30 TDP members of the Seema Andhra region attending the house. As soon as the house began its proceedings, the TDP members of the T region started raising slogans in favour of united AP and opposing Telangana state.

Despite several appeals by the Chair and some ministers, the TDP members continued their slogans in the house forcing Manohar to adjourn it.
