TRS and Telangana congress leaders attacked the Justice Sri Krishna Committee today saying that the Committee had prepared its report on the issue of Telangana after selling itself wholesale to the Seema Andhra leaders.
Speaking to reporters at the Media Point in the assembly, TRS leader Harish Rao said that the committee chairman and its members have sold out to the Seema Andhra investors and prepared the report after taking instructions from them.
Pointing to the High Court comments on the secret part of the report, Harish Rao said the Committee played the role of Sakuni in Mahabharata on the Telangana issue and asked the Centre to take an immediate decision on Telangana without considering the Sri Krishna report.
“The Seema Andhra leaders have not only suppressed the Telangana movement but also influenced the Sri Krishna Committee,” he said. “We request the Centre to take an immediate decision in favour of Telangana. If there is no favourable decision, kindly don’t blame us for the consequences that follow,” he told the centre.
Meanwhile, congress MP of the Telangana region Mr Ponnam Prabhakar said in Delhi that an enquiry shall be ordered on how the Sri Krishna Committee prepared its secret report though it is not its responsibility.
