Employees’ JAC warns of sudden strike

Employees JAC, sudden strike, Telangana employees, T StateThe JAC of the Telangana employees’ associations today threatened to go on strike at any moment now if the state and central governments do not concede their demand for a separate state of Telangana.

Speaking to media persons after a meeting at their office, the JAC leaders said they have resolved to continue their non-cooperation movement but have placed certain demands before the government. “We have placed certain demands before the government and are ready to withdraw the agitation if our demands are accepted,” they said.
 
Demanding the central government to introduce the T bill in the budget session of the parliament, the JAC leaders said they had met the chief secretary and sought an appointment with the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to place their demands.

“We are waiting for an appointment with the PM and our non-cooperation movement will continue till we succeed in getting an appointment and discuss the issue with him,” they said.

Responding to reports that the JAC has been obstructing the payment of salaries to the employees, the leaders said there is no truth in the reports and the government is at liberty to make payments for salaries.
