Paruchuru MLA and husband of the union minister D. Purandhareswari Mr. Daggubati Venkateswara Rao today came down heavily on former chief minister and TDP president Chandrababu Naidu for criticizing congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Releasing an open letter to the media in Hyderabad, Venkateswara rao said that Chandrababu Naidu who sold away the Rajya Sabha seat for an amount of Rs.20 Cr and used the money for buying a TV channel, has no right to criticize congress president Sonia.
“Chandrababu is the originator of corruption in the state and he collected crores of rupees from party men at the time of elections. Such a person has no right to talk about or criticize Sonia,” Venkateswara alleged in his letter.
Venkateswara alleged that Chandrababu was responsible for the Emaar scam and asked: “Is it not true that he owned some villas in the Emaar Villas?” He said that Chandrababu used to collect huge amounts even during the NTR times and NTR several times scolded him. “In 2009 elections, Chandrababu transported money in helicopter for distribution to the voters in an unprecedented manner,” Venkateswara rao charged.
