Bowing to the pressure being exercised by the TDP in the assembly, the Kirankumar reddy government today agreed to form a House Committee to probe the alleged irregularities in land allotments made by YSR regime in the state to different companies in the name of SEZs but asked the TDP to show some prima facie evidence on its allegations for arriving at a decision on the formation of the committee.
Disclosing the government’s readiness to form the committee to probe the alleged illegalities, Minister J. Geetha Reddy asked the TDP members to show some basic evidence and prove their allegations.
“We have agreed to form the committee but you have to show some basic evidence. If you don’t show the basic evidence, we will not appoint the committee,” she told them. “We will also have to finalize the terms of reference for the House Committee to enable it to probe the issue,” the Minister said in reply to the demand of the TDP.
It may be mentioned that the TDP has been stalling the proceedings of the house for the last few days demanding the appointment of House Committee to probe the alleged illegalities committed by the YSR regime in land allotments.
