TDP senior leader and Telangana Forum convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy declared today that the proposed public meeting on May 9 on the Telangana issue at Nagarkurnool in Mahboobnagar district would be held as scheduled and there is no going back on it.
Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, he said his party leadership has suggested that party leaders can work in their own style to become closer to the people on the issue of Telangana and he has convened the meeting as per the party guidelines only.
All organizations and persons, who are pro-Telangana, are welcome to participate in the meeting, he said. Stressing the need for all pro-Telangana organizations to come together and run the agitation from a common platform, Janardhan Reddy expressed the hope all Telangana lovers would attend the meeting.
“We must come together to fight in unison to achieve Telangana,” he said, adding that he did not get invitation to participate in the Padayatra of Jupalli Krishna Rao. “If I had received the invitation, I would have surely attended it,” Janardhan Reddy said.
