Tollywood actor Ravi Teja’s father Bhoopathi Raju , 70, was arrested by police Monday evening after he was caught playing cards at Golden Club in Ranigunj in Secunderabad.Mahankali assistant commissioner of police, Mr. G.P. Vasu sena, told media persons that 46 people including Bhoopathi Raju were arrested for playing cards violating the AP Gaming Act.
He said the raiding team had seized an amount of Rs 38,350 from the accused. Police team raided the club around at 6 pm on Monday.
Vasu Sena said they have been asking clubs not to encourage the cards game in the clubs but no one was following their instructions.
