The CBI today urged the state High Court to shift the venue of the CBI court at Nampally to a peaceful location in Hyderabad to have continuity of the court proceedings.
The CBI said that because of the Telangana agitation, the hearing in the Rs.14, 000 Cr Satyam accounting fraud case is being disrupted severely and the case is not progressing at all. “Hence, we urge upon you to shift the court to the Charlapalli Jail or some other place where there won’t be any disturbance,” said the CBI in its request to the high court.
The High Court may take a decision soon on the CBI appeal and the court may be shifted to Charlapalli or any other peaceful location. “We are expecting a decision soon from the state apex court,” said a CBI spokesman in Hyderabad.
