The state electoral authorities have allotted the symbol of ceiling fan to the YSR congress party which is contesting the by-elections to the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat and Pulivendula assembly seat.
YSR congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his mother YS Vijayamma have filed nominations at Kadapa and Pulivendula respectively as party candidates. Now, both of them have been allotted the ceiling fan symbol for the by elections.
In Kadapa, Jagan is pitted against congress candidate and Minister Dr DL Ravindra Reddy and TDP candidate Dr MV Mysoora Reddy while his mother Vijayamma is testing her luck against the congress candidate YS Vivekananda Reddy who is her brother in law.
The election will take place on May 8 in both places. While Jagan is far ahead in campaigning in Kadapa, Ravindra Reddy is also leaving no stone unturned to defeat him.
