The tiny town of Puttaparthy in Ananthapuram district of AP is all set to witness the last journey of the world renowned spiritual Guru Sri Satya Sai Baba whose ventilators are ready to be removed at any moment now.
The government has made all arrangements to receive the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, President Pratibha Patil, several union ministers, chief ministers, Governors and some VVIPs from abroad too.
Many official teams are on duty making arrangements to ensure the safe landing of special planes and helicopters that would bring VIPs and VVIPs to Puttaparthy.
Officials have arranged big screens in several towns of the district to enable lakhs of devotees and people to witness the last journey of the Baba.
Special police battalions and police bands have already reached Puttaparthy for the final ceremonies to be conducted for the last journey of Baba.
It is said the government has refused the request of the Trust members to remove the ventilators of Baba and insisted that it is the responsibility of the members of the Trust only.
With more than 6000 police men including the Para-military guards looking after security in Puttaparthy, the town is looking like a police fortress.
