Making a stamp for yourself could be fun with innumerable occasions that you could use them. Make a gang sign, or some pretty smileys, hearts and what not that you would like to use. The best part? Like several DIY projects, this costs little to nothing but leftover wastes and some ink.

What you need?

wine bottle corks
craft knife
pencil
cutting mat

What to do?

Design: You have to know what designs you need to make. A heart, an upward arrow that shows approval or a prohibited sign maybe. Draw the sign on one end of the cork, with a pen or a pencil after you decide the final sign.

Craft: Time to get your hands dirty. Take a knife and cut outside the design. Be careful not to cut yourself though. Cut on the inside too you you are feeling creative and want a hollow stamp but remember to let it remain thick even after you cut it. Take the help of an adult if needed.

Aaand you are done! Now is the time to get dirtier. Dab them on the ink pad and play around. Use several colors for more activity. If you see that the signs are not very even, you might have to make the ends fine by cutting then straight carefully.

You have some valuable play-tools now. Give them away to kids or keep them for yourself. A pack of few of these stamps could make valuable gifts too.
