If people say India is a poor country, we can show the big fat weddings of not just celebrities but even common people whose budget cross on an average of 20 to 25 lakhs on wedding alone. It might sound incredible, but believe it is true! However, if you still not believe, you must certainly pack your backs and come down to Andhra Pradesh just on February 14-Valentine's Day!

Over one lakh couples are going to enter into wed locks tomorrow.  Venues have already been fixed and it's almost like a festival especially in Hyderabad and Secunderabad. While couples in love are busy shopping for their love, many of them are out for shopping for their wedding. Therefore, shopping malls and jewellery shops are filled with customers.

On an average, a small function hall charges up to Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 on normal days for wedding ceremony. And in season, the charge might go up by Rs. 25,000. But on Valentine's Day, as per the report, charges of each wedding hall went as high as Rs. 5 lakh and people didn't take a back step on the same. So, for venue itself, they are forking out around Rs. 5 lakh. Not to wonder that the meals and other facilities would cost a person anywhere between Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh. So, an average a person is spending up to Rs. 25,000 lakhs on wedding. Over one lakh people spending Rs.25,0000 each day! Something strange it is? Do you now agree the research carried out by Andhra Wishesh team to prove India is no poor country and people spend in huge amounts on marriages and other petty occassions so much so that some countries can even run annual budget with that money.
