American businesswoman, hotel heiress, socialite, and media personality Paris Hilton, who is presently on a 3-day visit to India, launch her range of handbags and accessories. She spoke to the media at Mumbai, on arrival.

While fielding a question about why has she been named as Paris, the international biggie shared that her parents were to choose among three names, Alexis, China and Paris, and they opted for Paris. The actress cum businesswoman then went on to add that she has a best friend, whose name is India.

The benevolent side of Paris came up on a war footing when her car was buzzing across the busy Andheri road in Mumbai today. She saw a desperate woman with a child in her hand asking for alms at a signal junction. She asked the chauffer to slow down and gave the woman a Hundred dollar note generously.
