Known as a Legend in the era of Painting, Maqbool Fida Hussain, Died today, due to the complications caused in his lungs. The Artist was suffering from a Bad health condition from some time now. Hussain Died in London, where he was living at present. Due to certain allegation and cases on him, MF Hussain had to leave India, sometime back. The Artist, apart from his extra ordinary paintings, also directed couple of films like ‘Meenaxi’. Responding to the Death of MF Hussain, our Prime Minister Manmohan Singh considered this situation as a ‘loss to the Nation’. Though he was living in London, MF Hussain always wanted to come back to India, while in his last Interview he expressed his Love for the country.
Known as ‘Picaso of India’, MF Hussain was born on 17th September 1915. Husain first became well-known as an artist in the late 1940s. In 1947, he joined the Progressive Artists' Group. In 1952, his first solo exhibition was held at Zürich and over the next few years, his work was majorly seen in Europe and the U.S. In 1955, he was awarded the prestigious Padma Shri award by the Government of India. From then till his last breath, there was no looking back for him.
Today, MF Hussain might not be with us, but, his work of art in the form of paintings will be a lifetime remembrance
