Manish Tewari says sorry to Gadkari

Union Minister and Congress leader Manish Tewari has tendered an unconditional apology to BJP leader Nitin Gadkari who made allegations on him in Adarsh Housing scam. In the year 2010, Manish alleged that Mr. Gadkari owns a flat in Adarsh and it was registered in the name of his driver and businessman Ajay Sancheti.

Gadkari fired at Manish for making baseless allegations and filed a defamation case against Manish. The local magistrate’s court has recently issued notice to Manish for making baseless allegations. Following the notice, Manish wrote a letter to Gadkari and offered an apology.

The letter said, “I understand that that by such statements you have to suffer huge disrepute and have to face uncomfortable situation within the party and the society. Therefore by this communication I tender my unconditional apology for the allegations made against you.”

Following the letter, Mr Gadkari withdrew his defamation case.
