Delhi gets first female Chief Justice

Andhra Pradesh High Court Judge G Rohini became the first woman to take charge of the Delhi High Court. An alumni of Osmania University in Hyderabad, Justice Rohini is expected to serve for a period of four years as the Delhi apex court's Cheif Justice.

Justice Rohini took the oath in the presence of Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung today morning and became the first female Chief Justice of Delhi High Court , 47 years after it was established.

Rohini filled the spot of NV Ramana who stepped down from the Chief Justice post in February this year.
