Former Samajwadi Party [SP] MP Amar Singh is all set to join Congress party and also will contest on behalf of it in the upcoming general elections. Congress is thinking of fielding Amar Singh from Gautam Budh Nagar or Noida constituency which has quite a bit of Thakur voters and a decision on it will be finalized later today.
Amar Singh was expelled from the SP in February 2010 along with film actress Jaya Prada. In 2011, Amar launched his own political party Rashtriya Lokmanch and contested for 360 assembly seats in UP elections 2012. But the results were very disappointing. Earlier this year Amar met Congress president Sonia Gandhi twice in February which gave enough evidence of he taking Congress flag.
