Supreme Court issues stays on Rajiv killers

The Supreme Court today served stay notice to the Tamil Nadu government which has planned for release of seven convicted in former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi assassination. The Apex Court has asked the Tamil Nadu government to maintain status quo and will hear its next proceedings on March 6th. The Central Government also moved court against TN government's decision and its plea will be heard on the same day too.

Political analysts feel that Jayalalitha is doing this for the sake of political gains and some say it as she is taking revenge against the Central government for failing to deal in Tamil fishermen issue who were arrested by the Sri Lankan navy.

Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister were upset with Tamil Nadu government decision of freeing the convicted, this led the government to file a petition against the TN. Supreme Court decision is going to be a crucial one on March 6th. Let's wait and see what happens!
