Indians third in the list of people stealing from hotels

Indians have many attributes to their characters that they should be ashamed of and this is the newest addition to the list of the things we do that taint out image globally. Stealing from hotels! Indians have ranked exceptionally high when it comes to stealing at hotels, a new survey revealed.

Over 38% of Indians, that is more than a third of us have admitted to stealing items inside the hotels. The most stolen goods were books, magazines, towels, plush robes, gourmet coffee and sometimes luxury beddings. On an average 33% of the travelers world wide have admitted to stealing from hotels.

We can be prouder than the Columbians and the Mexicans though. Over 57% Columbians have admitted that they steal from hotels and 40% of Mexicans are second on the list saving us from the ultimate shame of being number one in yet another field that we cannot boast.

65% of the people said, they never stole any item in a hotel room and the Danish were the most honest people. 88% of Denmark nationals have said that they never pilfered at the hotels.

China and US are not very far behind us, if that offers some solace to your mind. 34% of travelers from either of the nations said they have been thieves of the hotels. US families fancied linens or towels like people from Sweden, Italy, Hong Kong, Canada, Norway and Ireland but the Chinese wanted more from their invested money taking back items like lamps, clocks or even artwork.

The survey was conducted early this year and included over 8,600 people who answered questions belonging to 28 countries.
