Denigration of women has ruined our society!!!

Acid attacks, rapes, dowry deaths and domestic violence - why the hell these things keep hitting headlines despite we advancing to the so called the age of information technology. In what we call as shameful act, as many as four sisters were subjected to acid attack in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh.

The heinous incident took place on Tuesday evening when the four sisters were returning from an exam hall after they served as invigilators. They were reportedly almost a mile from their home and two men on a motor cycle suddenly obstructed their way and the acid that was in their hands.

Upon loud cry, the locals gathered and the miscreants fled the scene. The locals immediately rushed the injured sisters to the hospital wherein they were undergoing treatment. A police case has been registered but no one was taken in to the custody so far.

Andhra Wishesh questions all the politicians yet another time as to why women are being ill-treated time and again. Can't the gender that gave birth to us lead a normal and safe life on this land? Strengthen the laws and give stringent punishment to the culprits failing which such incidents keep on taking place and we keep on questioning you!
