Corniche Hospital in Abu Dhabi has launched an Outpatient Experience system which is a significant move designed to increase patient satisfaction with the hospital's services and clinical care.

Moreover, the new system includes the inauguration of highly specialised, consultant-based obstetrics and gynaecology clinics which will help reduce waiting times and minimise and, in some instances, eliminate the need for repetitive clinic visits by providing what Corniche leaders known to be calling as "the right care in the right place at the right time".

According to Dr Mariam Al Mazrouei, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, their patients are at the heart of their services and the leadership of Corniche Hospital is committed to providing them with the highest quality of care and they are confident that the new Outpatient Experience will have a long-lasting, positive impact on the way care is delivered at their hospital.

In fact, Dr Paul Bosio, the hospital's Chief of Service said that they have redesigned the appointment process and streamlined consultations to make them better-tailored to the patients' needs and that the redesigned Outpatient Experience system has helped them eliminate appointment lapses and has enabled greater efficiency in the services they offer.

Quiet interestingly at Corniche, Outpatient Service is supported by Nursing, Patient Access and Patient Affairs teams who offer patients educational materials and by reception officers who help patients navigate the hospital.
