Gaza Strip rocket lands in Israel, none hurt

When the world thought that it was the end of the violence between Islamic group Hamas and the Israelis, after the truce that they signed on November 21 after a long military procedure in Gaza strip, they have resumed the rocket violence again today after there was one rocket that was fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel.

Fortunately there was not loss to property or lives but the road where the rocket landed was damaged. The site where it dropped was Ashkelon, Southern Israel

Earlier in their operations there were over a thousand rockets being fired into Israel where 177 Palestinians were killed, and Six Israelis were also killed in the war.

The new rocket firing comes only days after a Palestinian prisoner in Israeli jail was announced dead. The Palestinians have alleged that the officials tortured the prisoner. The situation is already tense in the area. Several Palestinians attended the funeral of Arafat Jaradat, a 30-year-old father of two and member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.

Both the Palestinians and the United Nations special coordinator for the Middle East peace process have ordered independent probes into his death.
