Delhi FOGGED OUT!

Delhi was all fogged out early morning today, forcing airport authorities to shut down the runways and delaying more than 30 flights in fact, domestic terminal 1D, 25 flights could not take off as scheduled having One flight which had to be diverted.

Fog started engulfing the airport last night and was too dense by this morning. Visibility on both the runways was below 50 metres - a minimum of 125 metres is required for flights to take off. In fact, there was thick fog in south Delhi as well and on the toll road connecting the Capital to Noida. Visibility was almost zero in stretches on the Outer Ring Road.

The dense fog had resulted in delaying two international flights heading for Delhi and four had to be diverted to other cities while also that two Jet Airways flights, one from Abu Dhabi and another from Dammam, and a Lufthansa flight from Munich were diverted.
