'India shining' in NASA's Diwali night satellite image

United State's national space agency NASA has released a dazzling picture of India taken by it's satellites on the Diwali night. "On November 12, 2012, the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on the Suomi NPP satellite captured this nighttime view of southern Asia," NASA sources said prior to the release.

"The image is based on data collected by the VIIRS 'day- night band', which detects light in a range of wavelengths from green to near-infrared. The image has been brightened to make the city lights easier to distinguish," The space agency added. NASA also said that most of the bright areas in the imagery are cities and towns in India, glittering on the day of the festival of lights.

If in the middle of scams ,heated political debates and chaos we have forgotten the spirit of 'India Shining' then viewing the  picture is the perfect way to fill our hearts with joy and bring that proud feeling come alive once again.
