Some Indian politicians have indeed managed to touch a new low in terms of maintaining the sense of decency while responding to the rivals..! First it was Mani Shankar Aiyar who compared opposition MPs with animals and now the fiery Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamta Banarjee joins in the list of our political elites who goes on saying things not knowing where to draw the line. This time she calls her critics "barking dogs".
Her remarks came as a response to the letter written to her by Press Council of India chairman Markandey Katju where he described the CM as "intolerant and whimsical" .
She reportedly said , "I know some people are doing bad name against of this government, negative campaigning they are doing because they have vested interest. Let them do. We don't care. Raja chaley bajar to kutta bhowkay hajar, karney do. Mujhey koi jarurat nahi hai koi dhyan deney kay liye. Kaun kya kaam kartey hai, who sabko pato hai. Aur negative publicity ko positive may lay ayenge, kaam kartey kartey. Agar hamko kaam karney ka mouka hai aur kaam karney ka ichcha hai, then I don't care anybody. In my life, I have fought enough."
Meanwhile the comment has stirred up a new controversy as CPM and other opposition parties are now demanding her to apologize .
