Bangalore has more reason to be proud now with the Royal Couple of Britain, Prince Charles, and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall paying a visit to the IT hub of India for healthcare. The couple reached the country today and will stay in Bangalore for a week to seek the holistic healing services at the Soukya Holistic Health Center in Whitefield.
Run by Dr. Issac Mathai, the health center deals with several forms of healthcare like naturopathy, ayurveda, yoga and several other therapies in the area that sprawls over 30 acres. It is known that the Royal Couple will undergo several ayurveda and naturopathy procedures like yoga, mud therapy and hydro-therapy and will be on a South Indian vegetarian organic diet.
Security measures have been ensured by a squad of the Scotland Yard who reached here a week earlier. A presidential suite was also arranged for them. Dr. Mathai has been the couple's heath adviser for two years since their last visit in 2010. While Charles was invited for the Commonwealth games, the Duchess stayed at Whitefield.
Soukya is a global model for holistic and integrated medicine where guests and patients from over 70 countries come for treatment. Prince Charles had known Dr Mathai after the Royal College of Integrated Medicine, founded by the Prince himself, has collaborated with the latter for the training of several Western doctors with traditional forms of medicine.
