Several antique possessions held in a museum in Madhya Pradesh were stolen by a group of thieves who killed the security guard to complete their heist.
The Royal Museum in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh had over 500 cr worth antiques stolen after several thieves broke into the museum recently. The museum is in the premises of the local fort and only within earshot of a police station, 500m away.
The thieves were sly enough to pull of the heist and yet evade the police without a doubt. Among the lost valuables are the royal throne, a 40-kg silver umbrella and other antiques. The police are yet to identify the criminals and also the number of people involved. They speculated that this could also be an inside job.
