Mumbai Metro, the upcoming metro in the commercial capital in the country, is expected to come into operation by the end of this Fiscal Year after more than 95% of the related construction would be completed according to the chairman of the Reliance Infrastructure, Anil Ambani who spoke on Tuesday.
Speaking in the general annual meeting of the company he also mentioned that there would be a facility to help at least 700,000 passengers of Mumbai to utilize the Mumbai Metro Services which would reduce the commute time by more than four times. A 90 minute journey would take less than 20 minutes with the new Mumbai Metro.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had announced $1 trillion investment in ongoing 12th five year plan, and 60% of this finance would be from private firms. Anil Ambani said that this would be a great opportunity for the company develop further.
