Goa police suspended for misbehavior

Two police costables in Goa were suspended after two girls have registered a complaint against them that they allegedly harassed them on Sunday night at Dona Paula jetty, the popular tourist spot.

Gaurish Matonkar and Ganjan Chari who were attached with the police control van were suspended after the formal complaint was take.
The girls alleged that the constables had misbehaved with them while they had been going back home from their friends home on the second of September.
One of the harassed girls works as a public relation officer with a five star hotel.

According to the complaint the constables asked the girls personal details and also asked their mobile numbers after seizing their licenses. The were also threatened to visit the police station in the midnight while harrassing for at least 25 minutes as the policemen flirted with the men against the law.
Superintendent of Police (North) Vijay Singh said that after the complaint, the constables were placed under suspension immediately, pending inquiry.
