The Supreme Court had told the Sahara Group on Friday to refund the money which it had collected from the investors. The money amounts to a staggering figure of Rs 17,400 Crore.
The Sahara India Real Estate Corporation and the Sahara Housing Investment Corporation have been given a window of three months by the SC to make the refunds.
SEBI had also been directed to investigate against both the Sahara companies to find the actual subscriber base.
A retired apex court judge Justice B N Aggarwal was appointed by the Apex Court to oversee the probe by SEBI against the two Sahara Companies.
