Arun Jaitley made some controversial statements saying that the Congress had no rulers that match the calibre of Gujarat's Narendra Modi or Madhya Pradesh's Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

He said that his party had great leaders at the state who have been the backbone for several successes in the state making them the most developed int he nation. He also said the BJP leaders were not like the Congress leaders where the states ruled by the latter were submerged in scams.

Bashing at congress he said that unlike the leaders in Congress who were all born into well off families and ruling directly at the national level, the BJP leaders had risen to their positions with hard work and that they have been leaders at the state. He said that Congress leader was all from the Gandhi family and that they have only a single leader, Rahul Gandhi now. He also pointed out at the dismal failure of Rahul Gandhi in the areas he had promoted the party.

Jaitley expressed confidence in his party winning back power in MP and Gujarat and there was a great chance for their party in Himachal Pradesh too. He said that the only secret to becoming the ruling party is by winning the trust and confidence of the people by generously working for their welfare. He added that with their government's rule in MP, the state has witnessed tremendous growth with roads paved in most places and the supply electricity reaching very far out in the state.
