In the investigation started by the police on the issue of Geetika Sharma's suicide case, it was found that her Facebook account has been deactivated. With the social networking site playing a major role in everyone's lives these days, it has the potential to bear several evidences for such a case. The family had revealed that they had no access to Geetika's account since they don't have her password while there were several speculations that the people related to Gopal Kanda, who is the prime accused in the case of abetting her suicide, could have been responsible for the deactivation to cover up the information.
What baffles the police is that they had found her account to be active after the news of the suicide but it has been deactivated later. Gopal Kanda who had been absconding since 10 days had been arrested after he surrendered to the police in Ashok Vihar following his anticipatory bail rejection by the Delhi High Court yesterday. He had also been issued a non-bailable warrant by a trial court.
The police had also found out that Aruna Chaddha, also mentioned along with Kanda in Geetika's suicide note, had the passwords of all those who worked in the MDLR airlines, which has not been in operation since a few years. Chaddha had however denied any such possession but the police have sought the help of cyber experts to deal with the issue.
