A 11 year old girl was caught red handedly in a Chemistry test in a school near Kolkata by a teacher who scolded the girl. The girl who thought that the incident would marr her life ended it by jumping from the 5 storied building after asking teacher for permission to use the bathroom.

Parents rushed to the school in an hour and took her to the hospital where they had to hear the bitter news that she had not survived the fall. The parents also alleged that the teacher had slapped her child, insulting her.

The teacher however denied saying, "I didn't beat her. I scolded her mildly. I held her ears. I told her take a fresh paper and write your exam. She said she wanted to go the toilet. Then she never came back," said the teacher, BK Prasad, a senior teacher in the school for many years. He was detained for interrogation by the police.

The father had questioned the school's management how the young girl had managed to escape the eyes of the staff and accessed the roof on the fifth floor. He said that their only child who was brought up with a lot of care was killed by the school's carelessness. He also requested that the teacher, principal and others responsible be arrested.

The girl was an outgoing and a fun loving girl, the people who knew her well said.
