Manmohan Singh has been bashed by Time magazine as an underachiever not long ago and even before that incident faded away from the minds of the people, UK daily The Independant had targeted Manmohan Singh again only to add to him embarassment.

The article was titled “Manmohan Singh: Saviour or Sonia's Poodle?” questioning if he was a mere puppets in the hands of the supremo of Congress. The article has quoted that Singh could have lost the zeal for remorming the nation and has slowed the economic growth of the country. It also quotes that he had overseen the administration which is mired in corruption according to his opponents. “There were many demands from the party itself that he should abnegate the position and offer it to the presumed successor, Rahul Gandhi”, it said.

The Time magazine Asia edition featured Manmohan Singh on the cover and called him an Underachiever. The magazine hit the stands one week ago with the cover titled “The Underachiever - India needs a reboot”.

The article relating to the cover, titled A Man in Shadow has pointed out his qualities of being unwilling to stick his neck out on reforms that will put the country back on growth path. His deeds have caused the voters to lose credibility of the government apart from slowing down the economic growth of the country.
