The anti corruption crusader Anna Hazare created waves in Indian politics and apparently worried the political bigwigs with his India Againt Corruption campaign. Aimed at bringing an independent body, Lokpal as a first step towards fighting corruption, Anna Hazare and his team became role models to scores of people across the country with even some opposition parties extending their support to this 75-year-old man.
Anna Hazare is gearing up for sit for hunger protest for the second time in demand of Jan Lokpal Bill. The astrolers said that the second hunger strike of Anna Hazare would not be successful. The Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS) vice president K Rangachari said that the second round of Hazare's anti-graft agitation will be a failure. He has also said that this statement was based on the pure movement of stars and their impact on human lives. Further, he said Anna Hazare would not get expected support from the public. Also, he said he had 30 years of experience in astrological prediction and he would not say anything without studying astrological movements of stars and horoscopes.
When Anna Hazare sat for indefinite fast at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on April 5, 2011, political leaders never thought it would become a success but looking at the response to him, the government came down and accepted Anna Hazare's/India Against Corruption movement's demands on April 8. Following the statement of the Centre, Anna Hazare withdrew his fast on April 9. While breaking the fast, he has set the deadline of August 15 to pass Lokpal Bill.
The Jan Lokpal Bill was drafted during the series of meeting that took place in Delhi and finally the union cabinet approved the drafted Lokpal Bill, which exluded the prime minister, judiciary and bureaucracy from the anti-corruption Lokpal or ombudsman. Anna Hazare has termed the drafted bill as a joke and has been rasing his voice in support of Jan Lokpal Bill. As stated earlier, Team Anna has finally decided to sit for another hunger protest this month in support of the proposed bill and astrologers said it would not receive good response.
