Suresh Kalmadi seeks court's permssion to fly to London Olympics 2012

Former Commonwealth Games (CWG) Organising Committee (OC) chairman and graft accused Suresh Kalmadi had sought the courts permission to visit London during the Olympics.
Kalmadi, who has been on bail, has sought the permission of CBI Special Judge Talwant Singh for attending meetings of the International Association of Athhletics Federation (IAAF) between July 26th to the 13th of August.
He expressed his interest in participating in the IAAF council conferences as a member of the IAAF Council and as the president of Asian Athletics Association AAA during the tenure of the London Olympics 2012 which would begin on the 27th of July.
A further hearing of the case would be held on the next Friday. He also produced the invitation and the ticket for the journey which were sent to him by Essar Gabriel, the general secretary of IAAF.
Kalmadi is the prime accused along with 10 others in the case of corruption regarding the Rs 141 crore scam in contract for a scoring system.
He was charged under cheating, criminal conspiracy and forgery and under the Prevention of Corruption Act according to different sections of the IPC.
