However, Swami Agnivesh claims that this was a traditional way for curing the problem of bedwetting on Tuesd.

Swami Agnivesh, a well known social activist said that the ruckus created about the wardens actions is unnecessary. “Uma Poddar was actually right by citing the simple yet efficient traditional cure for the condition of bed wetting. The parents and the media unnecessarily made such a fuss about it”, he said.

He explained that the treatment was called as Swamootra Chikitsa or Shivambu. He also added that he himself had the problem of bedwetting till an advanced age and observed positive results with this traditional cure during imprisonment in the Ambala Jail in the period of Emergency.
Many may detest and loathe the obscene sounding method is barbaric but I have practiced it myself after reading many nature cure books. He also cited that famous personalities like Morarji Desai and George Fernandes who practiced the method and were benefitted.
