P A Sangma, a presidential hopeful, met BJP legislators in Mumbai as a part of his campaign on Tuesday.
The leader of the Maharashtra Assembly, Eknath Khadse has offered his congratulations to Sangma at his official residence located in South Mumbai. Sangma is yet to adress a meeting of the BJP legislators scheduled today.
Khadse said that he would appeal the MNS (MaharashtraNavnirman Sena) to provide their support to the Meghalaya's Chief Minister who also has the support of AIDMK, BJP.
Pranab Muhkerjee who is also a nominee would be in Mumbai to pay his respects as a token of gratitude to Shiv Sena Leader, Bal Thackeray. Bal Thackeray provided support to Pranab Mukherjee during the presidential polls.
Sangma is to attend a gathering of Congress and National Congress party Legislators in South Mumbai.
