BJP has expressed its ire over social crusader Anna Hazare’s team calling prime minister Manmohan Singh as Shikandi (an epic character who was a eunuch). The opposition party has asked team Anna to have a control on the language. The BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy has said that  any use of improper words against the prime minister was not acceptable.

Nonetheless, BJP has also asked the prime minister to look into the issues been raised by the members of Anna Hazare team. It may be recalled that one of the members of Anna team, Prashant Bhushan allegedly made derogatory statements on the prime minister on Monday.

He has said that the Congress party was using the prime minister as Shikandi (this epic character was used by Pandavas in Mahabharata to defeat Bheeshma who vowed that he won’t attack a eunuch).  The Congress party is yet to come down heavily on team Anna for making such comments.

People were reportedly unhappy with Anna team making such remarks like many political parties that don’t have stature. While Anna Hazare is fighting for a cause, he should make sure that his team members doesn’t lose their tongue in a fit of rage as such acts would only weaken noble cause of Anna Hazare.
