Time ranks Devdas amongst top ten flicks of millennium

Prestigious Time magazine has listed Sanjay Leela Bansali’s Devdas film amongst top ten greatest movies of the millennium. It’s certainly not just an honour to Sanjay Leela Bansali but was an honour to the Indian Cinema. Released in 2002, Devdas film starring Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rao and Madhuri Dixit became big hit then. This movie was inspired by Sarat Chandra’s novel in 1901.

Time magazine has stated that that Devdas is the priciest movie in Indian history. It has also stated that Sarat Chandra’s novel inspired at least half-a-dozen films in different versions before the latest one.

The magazine has all praises for dress, sets and beautiful people in the movie.
