The Delhi police arrested Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player Luke Pomersbach for allegedly molesting a US national at a five star hotel in the national capital. Powersbach allegedly punched woman’s fiancée when he intervened and tried to save his wife from the clutches of Australian cricketer.
Pomerbach will be produced before the magistrate on Friday. According to the police, Luke molested a US national who stayed in the same hotel where Luke partied. The woman later approached the police stating that Luke misbehaved with her. Luke was charged under IPC Sections 354, 323, 454 and 511.
The IPL chief Rajiv Shukla has said that IPL was not responsible for the behavior of a player. He has also said that the party was not an official one hosted by the IPL. He said the police will handle the issue.
Luke Pomersbach hitting headlines for wrong reasons is a regular affair. He was earlier pushed behind the bars in a drunk-and-drive case. But, misbehaving with women is a serious crime. Since the matter is in the court, the judiciary will give him the deserved punished.
