A 33-year-old French national, Franck Wilfred was allegedly pushed out of the train at Karnal Railway Station in Haryana after he was severely thrashed.  The police who saw the bleeding man have admitted him to the hospital but he succumbed to injuries.

According to the police, the TTE of the train on which Franck was aboard, contained the passport photocopy and travel documents besides cigarettes and other personal items of the victim. Upon questioning the TTE, Manoj Kumar, the police found he was found guilty and immediately took him into the custody. However, Manoj maintained that he was innocent and some miscreants had a scuffle with Franck.

The police have also informed that Franck lost his passport and other documents in New Delhi and he even lodged a complaint with a local police station there. He was permitted to travel with the Photostat copies. The police booked case on Manjor Kumar on murder charges and investigation is going on.

Meanwhile, the French Embassy was informed about the  death of Franck Wilfred. They would collect the body of the victim as soon as postmortem is completed. (Phani)
