The All India Congress Committee supremo Sonia Gandhi is scheduled to arrive in Karnataka today. She will be taking part at Guruvandana programme in Siddhaganga Mutt in Tumkur of Karnataka on Saturday. This programme is being organized to commemorate Siddhaganga Mutt pontiff Shivakumara Swamy’s 105th birth anniversary.
The PCC president in Karnataka, G Parameshwara has said that Sonia Gandhi’s visit was not related to politics. It may be noted that she was scheduled to inaugurate Guruvandana programme. She was actually scheduled to arrive in Tumkur of Karnataka.
Notably, Sonia Gandhi will reach Bangalore this night where she would stay at Raj Bhavan. On Saturday morning she would visit Nagasamudra village, a drought prone area, and will leave for Tumkur in a helicopter from Nagasamudra after discussing problems with farmers and workers from weaving community.
