Education is not a commodity: Kalaam

The former President Abdul Kalaam had been spear heading the Indian Space program. He is quoted to have felt that education is not a commodity and the interests must be induced in the students by the teachers. Mr. Kalaam participated in two separate programs organized in Gujarat, last night at the Mahraj Sayajirao University and another at Prince Ashokraj Gaekwad School.

Speaking at the educational institutes, the former President said good infrastructure, prominent advertisements are not yard sticks for the quality of education imparted. But said the entire process involves good faculty who will shape the students future. Good teachers are essence to good educational institutes. He further added that at the primary education level, teachers and parents must coordinate to impart knowledge to the student. A well educated man will be able to face the world better and come out successfully in competition said Mr. Abdul Kalaam.
