The Delhi High Court will hear on Monday the bail applications of DMK MP Ms. Kanimozhi and five other accused in the 2G spectrum case.

After the Supreme Court had granted bail to five corporate executives in the case earlier this week, Kanimozi and others approached the High Court seeking a speedy hearing of their bail pleas.

The court originally fixed Dec 1 for further hearing but posted the hearing for today following their appeals. However, the court again adjourned the hearing till Monday. Kani, former communications minister A. Raja and three others are now expecting bail after the Monday hearing.

The Supreme Court granted bail to the five corporate executives as the CBI has already submitted the charge sheet and the trial court has also commenced the trial in the case. The apex court had agreed with the view that the accused can’t tamper with the evidences and granted them bail. (JUBS)
