Anticipatory bail denied to Yeddy

Anticipatory bail denied to YeddyThe Karnataka High Court today declined to grant anticipatory bail to the former Karnataka Chief Minister Mr. BS Yeddyurappa. “The bail application is rejected,” said the court in its simple order.

The former CM has applied for anticipatory bail as the state Lok Ayukta has filed an FIR against him in the land de-notification scam. Media reports said he is likely to be arrested in the case.

As per the Lok Ayukta order dated August 27, 2011, Yeddyurappa is to appear in person before the Ombudsman today in connection with the case. He was given exemption from personal appearance on Saturday last as he was reportedly suffering from high fever, diabetes and hypertension and was being treated in a private hospital.
