Anna to continue fast at Ramlila from Friday

hazareGandhian and anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare will continue his indefinite fast at Ramlila ground in Delhi from Friday, according to Arvind Kejriwal, his close aide.

Kejriwal told media persons outside the Tihar jail in Delhi today that the 74-year old Anna Hazare would straightway go the Ramlila grounds from Tihar jail. “He is on fast in the jail and will continue it at the Ramlila Maidan from Friday morning,” he said.

It might be mentioned that the Gandhian was arrested Tuesday morning hours before he was to begin his fast at the JP Park demanding a strong Lok Pal Bill. Following the countrywide protests, he was released later in the evening by the Delhi Police.

However, Anna Hazare refused to leave the premises demanding permission to launch his fast at the JP Park unconditionally and began his fast in the Tihar Jail itself. After talks with senior police officials, he agreed to continue his fast at the Ramlila Maidan. The ground is now getting ready to host the indefinite fast of Anna Hazare and his team.
