As the British government has brought in some 16000 police officers to the violent hit London to control rioting, looting and arson, an eerie calm returned to the city on the fourth day but the senseless violence and chaos have spread to other cities and towns giving restlessness to the government of David Cameroon.
In a fresh bout of violence, rioters set on fire several stores, buildings and cars and resorted to looting the shops in Manchester, central England city of Nottingham, northern city of Liverpool, Leicester, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Bristol, and the western city of Gloucester.
In Southall of West London, Indians guarded their Sikh temple as thousands of residents provided security day and night and defended their place of worship. Another group marched through Enfield, in north London, aiming to deter looters.
