Former chief minister of Tamil Nadu M. Karunanidhi, accompanied by his wife Rajathi Ammal, and son and Union Minister M K Alagiri, today visited his daughter and DMK MP Ms. Kanimozhi in the Tihar jail in Delhi.The 88-year-old DMK patriarch talked to her face to face for nearly 20 minutes after which Rajathi Ammal and Alagiri also joined him in consoling her for another 25 minutes.
This is second time that Karunanidhi met his daughter in the Tihar jail after she was remanded to judicial custody in the 2G Spectrum case. Earlier, Karunanidhi visited the jail and met his daughter on May 23.
After the CBI special court and the Delhi High Court rejecter her bail applications, she even approached the Supreme Court which also declined to grant bail for her and the Kalaignar TV Managing Director Sharad Kumar on Monday.
Karunanidhi and family members later met A. Raja who is also cooling his heels in the jail along with Kanimozhi.
